When traveling you play the Yankees and the Mets in back to back Series to avoid travel. Along with a lot of other teams that are very close together. Possible 20 million in cost savings and extra ticket revenue.

The Milwaukee brewers would have 18 home games with the Chicago teams, along with 9 from Detroit, Minnesota  and St Louis.

Milwaukee could have Minnesota as its designated Team

St Louis - Kanas City

Oakland - Seattle

San Fransico - Colorado

LAD - Arizona

San Diego - Houston

LAA - Texas

Boston - Toronto

NYY - Tampa Bay

NYM - Florida

Chicago Cubs - Atlanta

Philadelphia - Washington

Detriot - Cleveland

Cinncinati - Chicago WS

Pittsburg - Baltimore

(1) You play all 3 game series with one day off per week, thus 54 series in 162 game season.

(2) You would play 6 series with each of the division opponents and your designated team. Then one series for each of the other 24 teams.

(3) The designator hitter would be replaced by a designated pitch hitter, that could pitch hit multiple times. In all 6 divisions. Thus, getting uniform rule.
